The Gulzar Educational and Charitable Trust was established (in September 2008) by a family of entrepreneurs with diverse business interests in retail, automobiles, hospitality. Well-connected within the industry through prominent forums such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) and others, the promoters recognized a significant gap between industry needs and academic curricula. Driven by a shared vision to bridge this gap, they conceived the idea of establishing educational institutes on the outskirts of Ludhiana.
