The Shillong Law College, located in Shillong, Meghalaya, was established in 1964 as an evening college. It was the result of efforts by prominent figures of the time, including Late Lokeshwar Sharma, Late Bhobesh Chandra Barua, and Late Suresh Chandra Rajkhowa, among others. The college is registered under the Societies Registration Act, No. XXI of 1860.
