AURO University is a private university that was established in 2011 in Surat. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In 2017, it was awarded as Best University in Hospitality Management by EPICURUS – Indian Hospitality Award Ceremony at HITEX. In the same year, the School of Hospital Management was also awarded as Torchbearer Institution of Indian Tourism.
Auro University Surat Gujarat comprises six schools, namely the School of Business, School of Hospitality Management, School of Information Technology, School of Law, School of Design, School of Journalism & Mass Communication, School of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences and School of Sciences. The flagship courses offered at Auro are MSc, MBA, and BBA.
The university also comprises two centres namely, the AURO Language Learning Resource Centre and the AURO Fine Arts Centre. AURO University admission is based on merit and entrance exams. The institute accepts national entrance exams such as MAT, CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, CLAT, GUJCET, and others. It has more than 75 permanent faculty members and teaching staff.
