Originally known as Pondicherry Veterinary College, it was later renamed RAGACOVAS and is now called the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (RIVER). Governed by the Pondicherry Veterinary College Society, it offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in veterinary sciences.
